AMERICAN JUSTICE SYSTEM BENDS OVER BACKWARDS TO PLEASE THE LYNCHMOB

Well, this isn't surprising, actually... Yesterday (Wednesday, April 11), the Special Prosecutor in Florida decided to charge George Zimmerman with 2nd Degree Murder in the shooting of his assailant, Trayvon Martin, and IN SPITE of the fact that there is NO EVIDENCE that Zimmerman did anything except DEFEND HIMSELF.

Obviously, the Special Prosecutor succumbed to the tempest in a teacup generated by that bloodthirsty lynchmob in Sanford, Florida, and to the threats of retaliatory violence from the black community.

Special Prosecutor Charges Zimmerman with 2nd Degree Murder
Neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman is in a Florida jail, charged with the second-degree murder of a black teenager.

The 28-year-old Zimmerman admits to shooting unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin on February 26 in Sanford, Florida. He claims it was self defense.

Special prosecutor Angela Corey says authorities did not come to the decision lightly, nor was it based on public pressure. "We do not prosecute by public pressure or by petition," said Corey. "We prosecute based on the facts of any given case."

The charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. Second-degree murder is typically charged when there is a fight or other confrontation that results in death and where there is no premeditated plan to kill someone.

Second-degree murder is also the highest charge a prosecutor can bring in Florida without a grand jury [because a grand jury would have thrown the case out, based on the facts].

The U.S. Department of Justice is conducting a civil-rights investigation while more than 2 million people signed an online petition, urging Zimmerman's arrest. Marches have been held in dozens of cities...
Did you get that line?   "We do not prosecute by public pressure or by petition"... Yeah, right.  Which is why it took nearly TWO MONTHS for Florida's governor to appoint a Special Prosecutor, and only AFTER mounting lynchmob PRESSURE and a PETITION forced the government to take special action and intervene in a cut-and-dried self-defense case.

There is NO WAY a grand jury would have charged George Zimmerman with 1st Degree Murder, under Florida Law.  Which is why the Special Prosecutor pursued the 2nd Degree Murder charge, sidestepping a grand jury altogether.  It was the ONLY way to get the case before a judge.

Incidentally, there's a VERY high likelihood that a judge will throw the case out, based on the LACK OF EVIDENCE to support the Special Prosecutor's charges.

In which case, the lynchmob will STILL go on rampage.  So, all the Special Prosecutor has done is DELAYED the inevitable.
